I've been a proud DC resident for more than 18 years. I have lived in this great neighborhood since 2023 and prior to that I lived in DC's Brookland neighborhood.

I am an attorney that transitioned my career into public interest technology. I work as a principal technology strategist and have served in cybersecurity and systems engineering roles serving the public at a number of US federal agencies over the course of 25+ years.

I have a Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University here in DC and a dual Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from Cornell University.

I have a long history of public service and civil rights work in DC. I served as ANC commissioner in Brookland for SMD 5B04. I was also president of the DC Latino Caucus for several years, advocating on behalf of our Latino and immigrant neighbors during these difficult times. I served in the leadership of DC for Democracy, a progressive organization, chairing a working group to advocate for building deeply affordable housing for our neediest residents.

I am first-generation born to immigrant parents from Colombia and Spain, and I was first in my family to go to college. My mother was a bookkeeper and my father worked in roles ranging from cashier and landscaper to restaurant manager. They taught me the value of hard work and to seek to understand those around me.

If you come by my home on Roxboro Place you'll know I like to garden in my spare time! I also enjoy walking/jogging around the neighborhood, stopping to talk with residents. Say hello!
